About the Author: Bruce Simpson is a Hamilton kindergarten teacher and singer/ songwriter. He has performed for libraries and at special events for over 25 years. He loves traditional children’s folk songs and has written some original songs too!
About the Illustrator
Born and raised in Hamilton, ON, Rae Bates attended DVSA, McMaster University and McGill University. She spent time in France and Italy furthering her studies in art and language.
Bates has been a faculty member at DVSA since 1998, where she teaches in the adult and children’s programs. She has been a faculty member of the Illustration program at Sheridan College since 2006, teaching in the areas of traditional media, figure drawing, composition, and Art and Cultural History.
